Hi friends! I’m so excited to be part of the Altenew Crafty Friends Blog Hop Day 2! Keep reading to see my watercolor Christmas card…and don’t forget to check out the fabulous prizes you can win if you post a comment. I’d love to hear from you!
Watercolor Pan Set: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Bamboo, Mountain Mist
Card stock: white, kraft, light green, olive green
Foam tape
Twine
Sequins
Note: the fold of my card is at the top.
Okay, here’s how I did it…
Ink the tree stamp with embossing ink and stamp onto white cardstock.
Cover with Rose Gold embossing powder. Tap off the excess and heat set.
Make a watery wash of the four watercolors on the craft sheet. Paint in the tree, allowing the colors to blend on the craft sheet and on the cardstock. Let dry.
Place the die on the cardstock piece and secure in place with low-tack tape.
Die cut the tree. Die cut a tree shape from kraft cardstock and glue the two together, slightly offset. Foam tape the tree onto white card, then mount onto kraft and light green. Wrap with twine and add to the card front.
Stamp the sentiment with evergreen, then cut into a strip and mat on kraft. Add to the card front, wrapping the ends to the sides of the card front. (To cover the ends, I added a liner of white card inside the card front.)
Add a twine bow and sequins.
