Hi friends! Last week I hosted a You Tube Live session for Altenew, featuring their Watercolor Wonders stamp set. This set is so easy to use and gives you a really pretty watercolor effect with simple and no-fuss stamp layering.
You can watch the video session on You Tube (or down below) and also scroll for a few photos of some of the projects I made in the session! Just a quick note: For all the cards, I used Neenah Classic Crest smooth cardstock. You can use watercolor paper if you want, but a sturdy smooth card will be just fine unless you plan to add a lot of water.
Here are a few of the projects from the session—
This card is a simple stamp layering, featuring Fresh Lemon, Maple and Warm Sunshine inks, plus the Obsidian Black for the flower center and sentiment.
Here’s a great way to get a true watercolor look… simply ink the flower stamp with Fresh Lemon and Coral Berry, then mist with water. Stamp, then stamp the center with Dark Chocolate. The leaves are inked with Bamboo and Olive, then water-misted.
Here’s another water-spritzed stamped design—this time, using Aqualicious, Teal Cave and Galactic Stream for the flowers and Bamboo and Olive for the leaves.
I hope you enjoy the techniques and samples. I’m back on August 27 for another You Tube Live with Altenew—hope to see you there!
