Hi friends! Last night I hosted a You Tube Liv e for Altenew. Though we must have had some pre-Halloween goblins in the computer, we managed to make the video work in two segments. If you get a chance, pop on over to the Altenew You Tube channel and you can watch Pansy & Peony Birthday Cards video(s). Here’s the first segment , and the second .
Photos are below!
We used the Birthday Builder stamp set, plus the Pretty Pansies and the Peony Bouquet stamp sets. I’m stamping and layering with Altenew dye inks in a variety of colors
This card uses Obsidian pigment ink to stamp the outline, then Dew Drop, Ocean Waves, Aqualicious, Galactic Stream and Fresh Lemon for the flower layers. The leaf outlines are stamped in Evening Gray.
Here we’re using just the leaf as the focal, with Lava Rock as the outline, plus Parrot and Moss for the layers. I’ve spattered with Moss for the background.
Of course grays look beautiful on flowers too! Here I’ve stamped only some parts of the layers—so, the outline is in Obsidian Black, then the 3rd layer is Evening Gray and the 5th layer is Lava Rock.
This was a quick card that I didn’t demo, just showed for inspiration. The outline is Obsidian Black, then I’ve used Fresh Lemon for the second layer and Antique Gold metallic pigment ink for the detail layer.
This is the Peony Bouquet, stamped in Obsidian, then Dew Drop, Ocean Waves and Aqualicious. The leaves are stamped in Evening Gray and the dots with Cotton Candy.
Another Peony Bouquet design, this time with Obsidian Black as the outline, Buttercream, Parrot, Warm Sunshine and Honey Drizzle as the layers. The background is the large peony stamped in Evening Gray.
I hope you enjoyed the projects! Remember, you can also tune in to the videos: Here’s the first segment , and the second .
Oh yes—and a Happy Halloween!
