Hi friends! Today I want to share with you a fun resin-collage card, featuring a combination of PaperArtsy stamps and Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic paints!
The background of my card is brayer-painted with Aquamarine paint from PaperArtsy (one of my favorites). There’s a bit of Prawn on there as well. The border is the PS248 chevron stencil, stippled onto a strip of white card with Crispy Blue.
“Best wishes” is a really useful stamp from the ESN52 stamp set—I used black ink to stamp it onto a leftover strip of kraft paper that I’d previously brayered with Slimed and Blue Moon.
So what about that birdie? Well, he’s from the ESN51 stamp set, and I stamped him in black onto a scrap of book paper, then coated him with resin—when the resin is dry (usually overnight) then I cut him out. The circle behind him is a piece of book paper that I brayer-painted with Snowflake, then resin-coated and die-cut.
The leaf is a portion of the large leaf from ESN50:
After stamping it with black and some Lawn and a bit of Weathered Copper, I resin-coated it and then cut it apart. The resin gives strength to the spindly bits of the leaf.
From there, it was really easy to assemble the card. The little bit at the top left corner is a stamp from ESN52 (same set as the sentiment), which I stamped onto a leftover piece of brayer-painted kraft paper.
Curious about using resin with paper? Well, come on over to the Stampers Grove Facebook page this weekend for a free demo of ICE Resin! (Time listed is 3pm UK time, so check what that is for your area—and if you’re sleeping, don’t worry as we’ll have a replay for you!) Hope to see you there!
