Hi friends! Today I have a fun stenciling technique to share with you, using one of Altenew’s geometric stencils.
See the chevron stenciling? This is done with the Diamond Builder stencil and two inks—the stencil is super-simple to use and you can get so many different dimensional looks from it.
First, place the stencil onto your cardstock and use one ink to color in the shapes. I’m using Altenew’s ink blending tool and Lava Rock ink.
Lift off the stencil, wipe it clean, then flip it over and color the other half of the shape with another ink. This time I’m using Aqualicious.
I added the sentiment from the One Friend stamp set, stamped onto a white strip of cardstock. On this version, the pattern is at the bottom of the cardstock, but on my original card, I’ve turned the pattern sideways. See—super versatile! And even better, you can get even more dimension by using more patterns from the stencil, with additional colors.
