Happy Thursday, friends! Today I wanted to share a clean and simple card design that uses a really fun glitter texture medium called Diamond from Aladine.
As you can see, it’s great for creating abstract backgrounds using one of my favorite application methods (the acrylic block!), and works beautifully through stencils.
Simply mix the three Aladine Izink Diamond Glitter Paint colors onto an acrylic block. My block is 3″x2″ but you can use any size. I used Bleu Caribe, Bleu Marine and Dore Cuivre Diamond Glitter Paint. Press the block onto your white cardstock and lift straight up. Set aside to let dry.
Use the leftover mixture on your block to stencil the butterfly (from the Aladine Nature stencil) through a second piece of white cardstock. When dry, simply trim the pieces and mat them onto black cardstock and add to the card front.
I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts New Day Butterflies stamp set at the bottom of the card front.
Simple and easy! I love the look of these texture mediums because you get the beautiful, rich color (even if you choose to use just one rather than three!) and the dimension….all without the hassle of dry glitter. And I love how beautifully it stencils—no seeping under the edges!
Enjoy the rest of your week…and see you next Thursday!
Wow this is so very pretty! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Dawn! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed it!
