Today, we’re going to explore the world of teal—my favorite color!—with some gorgeous layers of paper, rub-ons and laser cut embellishments. These cards are fun to create and sure to bring a smile to the recipient.
All supplies are from 49 and Market, and available at Paper Wishes.
You Amaze Me Card
This card features a large floral rub-on, placed onto a die-cut circle of patterned paper. I inked the edges with light green ink, then popped the piece up on foam tape for some dimension.
You can see the scripty background rub-on, which is just slightly underneath the focal and the laser-cut foliage embellishment. I have another one up at the top of the card, too.
The lace you see here, and the butterfly, are both laser-cuts.
The main flower is gorgeous, and makes for a stunning focal. Here, I’ve overlapped it with the You Amaze Me sentiment.
The Good Life Card
With this card, I have a layered rub-on on my tag focal: The distressed geometric pattern you see is a rub-on, and I’ve applied another rub-on—the butterfly—directly on top. This creates some wonderful layers and dimension!
The “good life” sentiment and larger butterfly, as well as the tag, are all laser-cuts.
The tag is up on foam tape, and then I have a foliage laser cut underneath. The same is up at the top right.
Here’s another look at the cards—
I hope you enjoyed today’s cards. Next week I’ll be out of town, so no blog post for next Thursday—but when I get back, I have something special to share with you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
I love your cards and have followed you ever since you were at Paper Wishes. Thank you for sharing your talents once again!
