How to Make a Circular Step Card for Christmas

Hi friends! Today I have an easy Christmas card design for you—featuring the Circular Step Card Cutting Die. This creates a card base with a rocker-style design. When folded, the Circular Step Card is 5 7/8″x 3″ and you can add a focal to the top portion to make it taller. (Hint: Check your envelope first to make sure any embellishments will still fit.)

For the card you see above, I used:

First, place the die cutting-side down onto your cardstock. For this sample, I’m using brown cardstock. You can also use patterned paper as I did for the card above.

You’ll have the cut lines as well as the score lines, as you can see above.

Crease on the score lines as shown.

You might use a bone folder on the creases.

Then, simply decorate as you wish! Here, I glued the acetate wreath to a nested scallop circle, die-cut from white cardstock. The Santa is a laser cut embellishment, and I’ve added him with foam tape to overlap the “believe” message.

For the inside, you can see a circle-die-cut message—that’s a rub-on sentiment—and an ephemera pine bough and paper ribbon.

That’s it—easy! The card design is a lot of fun to make, and also looks beautiful when it’s propped up on display.

Enjoy!
