Last Post Before Summer Break: Ochre Tag, Bag and Card—with 49 and Market!

Hi friends! Today I have a trio of projects to share with you, featuring gorgeous patterned papers, rub-ons, acetate and laser cut accents from the Ochre collection from 49 and Market… plus a pair of easy-to-make resin earrings.

After this week, I’ll take my usual summer hiatus from blogging and the email newsletter while I spend family time in the US.

Okay, let’s have a look at today’s designs—

Here’s what I’m using today:

I die-cut the bag from double-sided orange/yellow cardstock, then added the butterfly and geometric shapes rub-ons to the front. The labels are die-cut from lightly patterned paper, and I added the leaf and “dream” rub-ons before foam-taping the layered label shapes to the bag. Some jute twine adds a bit of texture to the bag.

The tag is holding a pair of resin post-back earrings that I made with vintage sheet music paper. I used an awl to poke holes in the patterned cardstock, then added the laser-cut frame.

All the layers are up on foam tape to accommodate the earring posts. I die-cut the tag from patterned paper and added an acetate leaf underneath the framed earrings.

The tag fits inside the bag perfectly—and makes a really nice presentation for jewellery!

I really got going with this beautiful Ochre collection, and made an easy card too:

For this card, I mixed two patterned papers from the collection, then added a rub-on leaf and some acetate elements like the white leaf cluster and the geometric border. There’s a small collage of laser cut tickets and a butterfly, plus a Dazzle sentiment and a couple of gold self-adhesive gemstones.

Want one more project? Okay! Here’s a tag—without the bag—featuring a rub-on focal.

The flower focal is a rub on, which I applied to lightly patterned paper and then die-cut into the rectangle shape. The scalloped nested rectangle is popped up on foam tape, and then I’ve got a laser-cut “remember this” message and cut-out lace border at the bottom. I’ve die-cut the tag shape from the Tag in a Bag die.

I hope you enjoyed the projects—and I hope you have a wonderful and creative summer! If we’re not already connected, let’s stay in touch via Facebook! See you again in September!
