Hi friends! Last month I created a box of handmade cards for an auction for the American Women’s Club of Hamburg. The auction proceeds combine with those of American Women’s Clubs around the world, and go to help the folks running safe houses for girls fleeing FGM, child marriage and gender-based violence.
(You can read more about FGM and what Rhobi Samwelly is doing to protect girls from this life-threatening and illegal practice here.)
I decorated a cardboard storage box to hold 5 handmade cards and envelopes for the bidder to simply sign, stamp and send.
Here’s one of the cards—this is using my favorite Peony Dream 3D Die Set from Altenew, with some of their patterned papers plus a Hello Dazzle greeting from Paper Wishes.
I know many of you also make cards for charity, and this kind of boxed set is a great way to give back to the community and help raise funds for those in need. (Plus, it was a really fun weekend project!)
Enjoy!
