Hi friends! Today I’m so excited to announce 6 new releases from PaperArtsy: Three new stamp sets, and three stencils. You can watch the launch video on Facebook, and check out the complete blog post on the PaperArtsy blog.
Today I want to show you close ups of the project I *didn’t* share in the video or the launch blog—this easy little stationery folder.
I picked up a little 6″x8″ folder at my local stationery store, thinking it would be perfect for brayering, stamping and decorating.
I brayered three different Fresco Finish paints onto the folder. The folder itself is pretty sturdy weight; even so, I didn’t want to paint with a brush—the brayer is a much better way to control the amount of paint, and reduce the chance of buckling or warping. I stamped some of the background images with a gray-green inkpad, then clear-embossed them. I also stenciled some portions of the stencil designs with Grunge Paste. The foiling is done by spattering paint onto the surface, then pressing with WOW Fab Foil.
Here’s another look. The focal leaf collage was stamped in black, then clear-embossed and painted in with watery gray-green ink, to coordinate with the background. I also painted in some elements with watery paint—because the image is embossed, the embossing acts as a resist.
The result? A fun little folder that’s the perfect size for keeping art snippets, ephemera and other treasures… or could be a great gift for someone, too!
The launch video is here. All PaperArtsy launches are announced on the PaperArtsy People Facebook page. If you’re a PaperArtsy fan, please do join the page and you’ll get access to cool things like this before anyone else. 🙂
