Hello friends! Today I want to share one of my favorite crafting combinations: Embossing powder and stencils!

For this card background, I placed the stencil (PS101 from PaperArtsy) onto plain white cardstock. I pressed the embossing inkpad on top, so the ink went through the stencil. Then I lifted the stencil straight up and covered the piece with True Blue embossing powder from WOW. Just tap off the excess, then heat set for a gorgeous look!

The sentiment (PaperArtsy EM120) is simply stamped with black onto white cardstock and die cut into a square. I edged the square with embossing ink, then covered the edges with embossing powder and heat set for a nice finish.
The mat behind the sentiment is made with Pure Platinum. Here I simply pressed the embossing inkpad onto white cardstock, then covered the surface with embossing powder and heat-set.
And that pretty butterfly accent? A butterfly die from Hot Off The Press—the bottom is Pure Platinum, and the silhouette layer is True Blue.

With this card, I also created a stenciled background—this time by placing PS272 onto white cardstock and using my finger to dab Fern Mattints from PaperArtsy through the design. I lifted the stencil and covered the cardstock with Clear Embossing powder. You won’t get total coverage, but instead you’ll have a gorgeous scruffy texture around the edges of the stencil squares, plus that lovely Mattint color.

The leaves are embossed with Lucky Clover embossing powder. First, I pressed the embossing inkpad onto white cardstock, covered it with embossing powder and heat-set. Then I placed the leaf die from Hot Off The Press’ Christmas Past set on top and die-cut two pieces of foliage. (Yes, they’re from a Christmas set, but they work beautifully for non-Christmas projects too.)
The butterfly is also made in two parts: The bottom silhouette shape is plain white cardstock, and the detail layer is die-cut from Pure Platinum-embossed cardstock.

The stamp is from PaperArtsy ESN37.
And finally, our third card—

The background here is an older one—PS123, and it’s such a nice design for leaf-or floral-themed cards. I pressed through it with Pinky Winky embossing powder, and the two flowers are made with Copper Ruins and Sparkling Sunset. The flowers are cut with the Bigger Blooms die set from Hot Off The Press. The leaf is another Lucky Clover die-cut.

The “merci” stamp is from the ESN43 PaperArtsy stamp set.
I hope you enjoy the projects! Until next time!
