This week I have some exciting news: A new Duo from WOW! Embossing called Night on the Town. This set contains two sparkly embossing glitters that can be used individually or together. And today, I have some papercrafting projects to share with you! (Next week, I’ll show you the resin jewellery pieces I made with this Duo!)
Here’s the Duo:
You can find this Duo at your local or online shops, or on the WOW website—depending on where you shop from. UK folks, click here. The US website is here.
Let’s look at some projects. Here’s a card that uses both colors—alternating the top and bottom butterfly layers.
Here’s how: I squashed embossing ink onto white cardstock, added Glass of Fizz embossing powder on top, then heat set and die-cut with butterfly cutting dies. I repeated with a second piece of white cardstock and the Sparkling Sunset powder. The background is a circular stencil (PaperArtsy PS246), where I inked the stencil itself, then squashed cardstock on top and added powder. Tap off the excess, then heat set!
Silhouette-style stamps work beautifully with embossing glitters.
The leaf stamp is PaperArtsy, from my Eclectica ESN41 set. The image is embossed with Glass of Fizz.
What about more detailed stamps? Have a look!
This heart design also has the script background, which embossed so nicely! The stamp is from the PaperArtsy Eclectica ESN65 set. The image is embossed with Sparkling Sunset.
Love the die-cutting effect? Here’s a detailed flower die design.
The dies are from Hot Off The Press’ Frosted Flowers set. The image is embossed with Sparkling Sunset.
I also inked the edge of the patterned papers and added embossing powder.
I hope you enjoyed these projects and get a chance to check out the new Duo! I’ve been having a blast with it, and I think you might too!
Tune in next week, for some jewellery projects that are easy to make and super-fun to wear. (I’m wearing one necklace right now!)
