Last Sunday Keith, Anna and I cycled across town for the World Press Photo Exhibition at the Oude Kerk (Old Church). Unfortunately, we were caught in a torrential downpour halfway there, and when we arrived at the church, the line of rain-soaked tourists snaked around the corner. We opted for a coffee in a nearby café instead, and happened to see this art exhibition in an adjoining room. The paintings and photos are from the Arab Spring—I love this installation showing a drop cloth in front of a graffiti-style mural, and the idea of displaying art as if it was in the process of being created right then and there. Or maybe we came in early and it just wasn’t finished yet. 🙂
Happy Friday!
