I think I’ve mentioned how I like to take photos of doors and windows when I travel. This window is from an apartment in Budapest, snapped several years ago. I love the pale mint green paint on the shutters, and the gold latches, and the kind of rough area on the paint just above the stone arching frame. I also really like the combination of textures: The wooden shutters, stone arch, rough wall, metal window clasps and of course the glass of the window, and the sort of weather-beaten paleness of the colors. Lovely!
Happy Friday!
