I walked past this beautiful old building on my way home from the gym the other day. The building itself—a bed and breakfast by the beach—is lovely, but what really caught my attention was the staircase. I think it’s so graceful (even while it could use a little repair work); there’s just something about it that made me take notice.
Do you ever come across things like this, that grab your eye for no apparent reason? Maybe it’s the color, or shape, or line or direction. Who knows?
Happy, happy Friday!

I love the staircase and I want to walk around the terrace. What is even more interesting is the light in your photo. It makes it look like something out of a B Movie. Great photo. And yes, I do sometimes see things that grab my attention and I have no idea why. My husband will ask, ‘what are you looking at?’ Then I have to just come up with something that sounds reasonable. I am a door freak. Doors are what grab my attention more than anything else. So if a door is close by, I just tell my husband I was looking at the door. That, he understands.
Barbara, I’m a door freak too!!! Actually, I know several people who are, including one man who took photos of all different doors in Holland and made a big poster of them all. It was so cool!
