{Project} Wednesday: Altenew Love You So Mush Card

Happy Wednesday!

This week I want to share a fun card design featuring one of the cutest stamp sets I’ve ever seen: The Love You So Mush set from Altenew.

This is one of three sets I’ll be teaching with in my Altenew Facebook Live session tomorrow. (Thursday, February 8. We’re live from 9pm UK time/4pm EST. Can you join us?)

 First, here’s the stamp set.

I KNOW, right?!? It’s so cute!

Okay, on to the card…

Love You So Mush, what you need—

Love You So Mush stamp set: Altenew

Inkpads: Forest Glades, Mango Smoothie, Crimson, Velvet, Jet Black (Altenew)

White, black, kraft, red card

Brown and white bakers twine

Foam mounting squares

Water brush or small paintbrush and water mister

Craft sheet or palette

Awl or poky tool

Love You So Mush, how to make it—

1. Use the layering guide to stamp the following on white card: Stamp the base silhouette of the large mushroom with Forest Glades (green), then the spotted layer with Crimson. Stamp the shading with Velvet. Stamp the stem with Mango Smoothie. See the guide below:

2. Use Black to stamp the sentiment next to the mushroom, then stamp a heart with Crimson. Mount on black, then kraft card.

3. Press the Black inkpad directly onto the craft sheet and spritz with water. Load the brush with the watery mix, then spatter onto a white card base. Let dry, then glue a strip of red cardstock across the center of the card.

4. Use an awl or poky tool to poke a hole along the fold of the card, positioning it in the center. Thread a piece of bakers twine through the hole and wrap it around the card front, securing the ends to the front of the card where the stamped focal will hide it.

5. Adhere the stamped focal with foam tape. Tie a bow in bakers twine and glue as shown.

That’s it—easy! And please don’t forget to join me for the Altenew Facebook Live session on Thursday, February 8. We’re live from 9pm UK time/4pm EST.

Oh, yes…and if you wondered, they do have a die set for the mushrooms, it coordinates perfectly and I’ll share another project with those two tomorrow. Stay tuned!
