Happy Wednesday!
Today, I’m playing with Echo Park’s Magical Adventure collections. You might look at them initially and figure that they’re perfect for vacation scrapbooking and mini albums, but I think they’re also fun to use for other occasions as well! This “Best Day Ever” card could be a thank-you card, an invite to a friend for an outing or even a casual wedding or congrats card.
Here I’m using the stencil with gold embossing powder to create a dimensional background for this fun ephemera focal piece.
Best Day Ever card, what you need–
– Magical Adventure Paper Collection for paper, ephemera card focal and glitter dot embellishments (Echo Park)
– Magical Adventure Stencil & Stamp Collection (Echo Park)
– White cardstock
– Gold metallic embossing powder
– Versamark ink pad
– Heat embossing tool
– Yellow grosgrain ribbon
– Foam tape
– Stencil tape or other low-tack tape
– Square white card blank
Best Day Ever card, how to make it–
1. Place the stencil on white cardstock and tack in place with low-tack tape. Press the embossing ink directly onto the stencil so the ink goes through the design. Lift the stencil straight up and set aside. Immediately sprinkle the cardstock with gold embossing powder. Tap off excess and heat-set.
2. Mat on blue cardstock from the paper collection. Mat again on star patterned paper. Wrap the bottom with yellow ribbon and glue
3. Add the Best Day Ever ephemera piece using foam tape. Tie a bow in yellow ribbon and glue as shown.
4. Add glitter dot embellishments to the center of some firework images.
That’s it! Super easy to make, and such a fun card for so many occasions. To see the whole Magical Adventure collections, stop on over to Create and Craft TV.
