Happy Wednesday! This week is spring break here in Hamburg, so I thought I’d share an easy project with Altenew stamps and inks—just in time for Mother’s Day!
Best Mom Altenew Card, what you need—
- Wild Hibiscus stamps (Altenew)
- Red Cosmos Mini Cube set inks (Altenew)
- Permanent Black ink (Altenew)
- Oval cutting dies
- Brayer
- Small paintbrush
- Water mister
- Gemstone accents
- Bakers twine
- Cardstock: White (matte), black; white card base
- Craft sheet
Best Mom Altenew Card, how to make it—
1. Press Coral Berry ink onto the craft sheet and mist with water. Roll the brayer through the watery ink, then across a piece of white card. Let dry.
2. Stamp the flowers onto the brayered cardstock with black. Make a wash of Ruby Red ink and use the brush to paint in the stamped images. Use watery Grapevine to paint in the flower centers. Let dry, then mount on black cardstock and glue to the front of the card base.
3. Stamp the Best Mom sentiment on white card, then die-cut into an oval. die cut a larger black oval and glue the two together and to the card front. Add the rhinestones and a bow tied in bakers twine.
That’s it–easy! Enjoy your Wednesday!
