Today on Studio SN on You Tube: Card Making with Distress Crayons!
Ranger’s Distress Crayons are a fun coloring medium, especially with stencils. In this case, I’m stenciling the reverse of the design…rather than coloring through the stencil, I’m coloring onto my cardstock and removing the crayon through the design. It’s easy to do and a great way to use your stencils!
Card Making with Distress Crayons, what you need–
Distress Crayons Earth Tones Set #2: Ranger
Dylusions Shattered Stencil: Ranger
Eclectica ESN20 stamps: PaperArtsy
Cardstock: Glossy white, matte white, teal, gray
Orange ribbon
Black inkpad
Foam tape
Washi tape or masking tape
Baby wipes
Card Making with Distress Crayons, how to do it–
1. Scribble glossy white cardstock with Festive Berries Distress Crayon. Color on top with Fossilized Amber to cover the cardstock completely. Place the stencil on top and secure with masking or washi tape.
2. Use a baby wipe to gently remove the crayon color through the stencil, turning the baby wipe as you work with a circular motion. Repeat until all the color is removed through the stencil. Lift off the stencil.
3. Trim the cardstock and mat the top and bottom edges with teal. Glue across the card front and trim the edges. Mat a strip of white matte cardstock on teal and glue across the card center. Wrap with orange ribbon, securing the ends to the front of the card.
4. Stamp the sentiment on white glossy cardstock and mat on gray teal and white, then secure to the card front with foam tape, covering the seam of the ribbon.
5. Tie a bow in the ribbon and glue to the side of the sentiment.
