Today on Studio SN on You Tube: Cardmaking with Grunge Paste and Fresco Finish Paint!
Grunge Paste plus Fresco Finish paint is a fabulous combination—especially for stenciling. Grunge Paste is a texture paste that comes in a light neutral putty color. You can tint it with lots of different mediums. Acrylic paint is perfect and gives you lots of options for custom color. In this case, I’m using my combo of paint and paste with a new favorite stencil from The Crafter’s Workshop—of course you can use individual elements on the stencil but I love the whole thing so I used it as one unit!

Cardmaking with Grunge Paste and Fresco Finish Paint, how to do it—
- Lightly brayer white cardstock with Sherbet paint, allowing some white cardstock to show.
- When the paint is dry, use the palette knife to place some Grunge Paste on a plastic palette. Add one drop of Eggplant paint and mix thoroughly.
- Place the stencil on the brayered piece and use the palette knife to apply the Grunge Paste mixture through the stencil. Scrape off excess and lift the stencil straight off the cardstock. Clean as soon as possible.
- Sprinkle clear embossing powder into the wet stenciled Grunge Paste, then tap off excess. Let dry.
- Mat on black cardstock.
- Cover the card front with black cardstock. Cut a piece of pink cardstock slightly smaller and stamp the German text and line along the sides as shown. Glue the stenciled piece in the center.
- Wrap with black ribbon and glue to the card front. Punch a scallop circle from black cardstock and foam tape to the card front. Add a silk flower. Stamp “the most novel experience” on pink cardstock and trace a circle around the stamped sentiment. Shift the circle stencil slightly and trace again to get a series of offset circles. Cut out and foam-tape to the flower. Tie a knot ink black ribbon and glue as shown.
