Today on Studio SN: Cardmaking with Smooch Spritz!
Smooch Spritz is a fun way to add vibrant color to your card backgrounds, quickly and easily. These little vials from Clearsnap contain gorgeous pearlescent color spray, much like the Smooch inks (you know, the ones that come in the little nail polish-style bottles). A few quick spritzes and you’ve got a beautiful, shimmery background with lots of color.
Cardmaking with Smooch Spritz, what you need—
• Smooch Spritz: Sun Kissed, Cherry Ice (Clearsnap)
• Top Boss Tinted Embossing ink (Clearsnap)
• Denim Mix’d Media Embossing Powder (Clearsnap)
• Artful Affirmations stamps (Hot Off The Press/Paper Wishes)
• Cardstock: Teal, yellow, white
• Red brads
• Red gingham ribbon
• Blank kraft card
Cardmaking with Smooch Spritz, how to do it—
1. Shake the Smooch Spritz bottles well. Hold the Cherry Ice about 6″ away from the matte cardstock and spritz once or twice. Repeat with the Sun Kissed Smooch Spritz. Let the cardstock dry.
2. Ink the “you only live once” stamp with clear embossing ink and stamp onto the spritzed background. Immediately sprinkle with embossing powder. Tap off the excess, return it to the jar and heat-set the image.
3. Trim the spritzed cardstock to size. Run the embossing ink pad on all four sides of the cardstock, then tap on embossing powder. Heat-set.
4. Mat the piece on white, then yellow. Add a red brad at each corner.
5. Cut a strip of teal cardstock and mat the long edges on white. Cut to the width of the blank card. Wrap with gingham ribbon and glue to the card front. Glue the spritzed piece on top. Tie a bow in gingham ribbon and glue as shown.
