Here’s a fast and easy way to make a stamped and embossed snow scene, great for Christmas or as a general winter-themed card.
Christmas Embossing Snow Scene Card, what you need—
- Christmas Collection Stamp set (Hot Off The Press/Paper Wishes)
- Opaque Bright White Super Fine embossing powder (WOW! Embossing Powder)
- Top Boss Tinted Embossing ink (Clearsnap)
- Cardstock: Blue, lavender, green, pewter
- Jet Black Archival ink (Ranger)
- 1 1/4” circle punch
- Foam tape
- Heat tool
- Hemp twine
- White card
- Scrap paper, folded in half
Christmas Embossing Snow Scene Card, how to do it—
- Tear a piece of pewter cardstock. Ink the torn edge with embossing ink, then sprinkle with embossing powder. Heat set. Let cool.
- Stamp the large and small snowflakes randomly on blue cardstock. Sprinkle with embossing powder. Heat set.
- Mat the blue cardstock piece on lavender, then glue the pewter piece across the bottom. Trim the edges evenly, then wrap with hemp twine.
- Cover the card front with green cardstock and glue the stamped piece in the center.
- Stamp the “joy to all” sentiment on green cardstock and cut out. Punch a lavender 1 1/4” circle, then foam-tape the stamped sentiment on top. Use foam tape to adhere the circle to the card front. Tie a bow in twine and glue to the card front.
