Happy Wednesday! Today I want to share a fun project featuring Altenew’s Coffee with a Splash set, plus the ink-brayering technique I showed last month on the Facebook Live event for Altenew. (Oh, and if you can join us today—November 22–I’ll be doing another Facebook Live over on the Altenew page.)
First Cup of Coffee, what you need—
Altenew inks: Dark Chocolate, Peach Perfect, Permanent Black, Moon Rock, Evening Gray, Morning Frost
Altenew stamp set: Coffee with a Splash
Cardstock: White, gray
Gray ribbon
Foam tape
Small paintbrush, brayer, craft sheet, water mister
Blank card
First Cup of Coffee, how to make it—
1. Press Dark Chocolate ink onto the craft sheet. Spritz with water, then roll the brayer through the watery ink. Roll the brayer over white cardstock. Let dry, then repeat with Peach Perfect.
2. Stamp the background coffee stains on the brayered background with Moon Rock.
3. Press Black onto the craft sheet, spritz with water and then load a small paintbrush. Spatter onto the brayered background.
4. Mat the piece on gray. Add a strip of white card matted on gray. Wrap with ribbon, then glue to the card front.
5. Stamp the cup on white card with Evening Gray. Make a watery wash of Morning Frost, then paint in the cup with the paintbrush. Let dry, then stamp the sentiment with Evening Gray.
6. Ink the edges of the piece with Morning Frost. Mat on gray. Add to the card front with foam tape.
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Hope to see you today—November 22–for a fun Facebook Live over on the Altenew page.)
