Happy Wednesday!
This weekend I’m headed to the UK for Create & Craft, where I’m doing three Couture shows. Keep an eye out, hopefully you can join us either by watching on TV or online! Show times are 10:00, 3:00 and 9:00pm UK time on Sunday, April 2. (Use this Time Zone Converter to find out what time the shows are on in the US or elsewhere.)
Here’s one of the projects I’ll be demoing, featuring the Couture By Invitation Only collection, which has all of the pieces you see below. On Sunday, it will be 60% off, so if you’re inspired, be sure to tune in!
Couture By Invitation Only Anniversary Card, what you need—
- Couture By Create and Craft By Invitation Only Collection
- Create and Craft Pack of 30 A4 Satin Board 250 GSM
- White, purple cardstock
- Foam tape
- Sheer ribbon
- Purple gemstone
- Die cutting machine
Couture By Invitation Only Anniversary Card, how to make it—
- Die cut the large ornate scalloped square from purple cardstock. Form a card base that’s slightly larger, and glue the square in the center. (My card blank is 6″ square.)
- Die cut the small ornate scalloped square from peach satin board. Die cut the plain scalloped square from white card. Glue the two together, then glue to the card front.
- Die cut the wine glasses from purple satin board, trimming the glasses off from the gatefold panels.
This is the die—so you’ll position your cardstock to be only behind the glass area. (I use washi tape to hold it in place.) If you’re using a die cutting machine with the magnetic sheet, I suggest you put a piece of scrap paper or card behind the rest of the die so the blades won’t cut into your magnetic sheet. If you have a manual machine like I do, then there’s no need.
- Die cut the wine “bubble” accents from pink satin board and glue to the wine glasses. Glue them with the stems overlapping, onto the card front.
- Die cut the”anniversary” from purple cardstock. Die cut a white plain scallop label and glue the two together, then foam-tape them to the card front, slightly overlapping the wine glasses.
- Tie a bow in sheer ribbon and glue as show. Add a purple gemstone to dot the “i” in “anniversary”.
That’s it—easy! If you’d like to see more Couture dies in action, please join me on Create and Craft. Again, show times are for Sunday, April 2, 2017:
10:00
3:00
9:00
Not sure what time that is for you in the USA? Use this Time Zone Converter to find out. If you’re watching outside the UK, you can watch online at Create & Craft, or use these.
