Hi friends!
Today I want to show you a simple way to use Creative Expressions Glitter Kiss with cutting dies. This card project is from Paper Wishes Weekly Webisodes. If you like, pop on over to the Paper Wishes website or to my You Tube channel to see the complete video. In the meantime, you can also have a quick look below to learn more about Glitter Kiss and what I used to create this look.
First, what is Glitter Kiss? Technically, Glitter Kiss is a polished silk glitter in a clear suspension—what that means is that you get a glittery effect without the mess of dry glitter, without the need for glue, and without shedding. Basically, you get the look of glitter without finding glitter in your carpet! It’s water-based and fast-drying and the pieces you “kiss” can easily be die-cut, as I’ve done here.
There are lots of ways to apply Glitter Kiss to your cardstock—in fact, the jar comes with a sponge applicator. You can also use a palette knife or paintbrush to apply the medium. This allows you to dilute it with water to get a very soft and subtle effect, which is what I did for this card.
I first painted Ocean Spray Glitter Kiss onto white cardstock. A regular wide paintbrush will do the trick. I like to decant some of the medium onto a craft sheet, then add a bit of water.
I use a palette knife to blend the water into the Glitter Kiss, then switch to a paintbrush to apply the medium to my cardstock. (Trying to mix the Glitter Kiss and water with a brush is tricky—I usually end up with it clumped into my brush bristles, so blend with the palette knife for less hassle.)
Let the piece dry, then die-cut it with the Frames & Tags Camilla Dies. Easy!
The background is the Dotted Duos Paper Pack. I used the Silver Linen Holographic Paper for matting. The heart in the center and the sentiment are both stickers from the 500 Script Greeting Dazzles collection.
Glitter Kiss is from Creative Expressions; the company recommends you mist your Glitter Kiss lightly with water once you’re finished using it for the day. Because it’s a water-based product, a light mist will help maintain its usability.

See you next week!
