Happy Wednesday!
Today I want to share with you a quick and easy card featuring stamps and waterbased markers. I’ve also been doing a lot of paper piecing with stamped images lately and this stamp set from My Sentiments Exactly is perfect for that: Just cut out portions of the design, then layer them with foam tape for extra dimension. (You’ll see more paper piecing with stamped images in my January 2018 column in Crafts Beautiful, plus the November Studio SN video.)

Paper Pieced Floral Card, how to make it—
- Stamp the floral motif with black on white card. Color the flowers with Pink and Carmine Red markers. Color the branch with Mid Brown and the leaves with Light Green. Lightly spritz the cardstock with water, then blot with paper towel. Add more color to the flowers if desired.
- Scribble Light Green marker onto a craft sheet, add water to make a wash, then use a brush to spatter the background. Let the piece dry, then mat onto black card.
- Wrap the bottom left corner with baker’s twine and then mat onto teal and pink. Glue to the front of the black card.
- Stamp the floral motif three more times on white card. (Don’t worry if the branch doesn’t stamp perfectly—concentrate on the main flower cluster.) Color the flowers as before, spritz with water, blot and cut out.
- Add the cut out flowers to the main image with foam tape. Add rhinestone accents and a bow with baker’s twine.
Have a lovely day, everyone!
