{Project} Wednesday: Simple Stamped Birthday Card with Marbled Paper

Last week was spring break for Anna…and the weather was cold and windy, so we decided to hit the craft store and pick up some basics. We got the basics but also got super-inspired by all the fun supplies at the store! (I went for glue…but you never really just go for glue, do you?)

The craft store was full of Easter craft supplies, including a Happy Easter Magic Marble Marbling paint set.

We couldn’t resist and were soon home, marbling plastic Easter eggs and Styrofoam Easter eggs—until we ran out, and then started looking around for other stuff to marble…like recycled glass jars and of course paper. I was having too much fun to take many photos of the process. To see more, including a video, you can pop over to the Kreul website, which is the manufacturer of the kit we used.

So now I have a lovely pile of marbled papers and can easily stamp them and put them to use on cards!

And here’s the card I made—

For this card, I used the Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set and Jet Black ink. I mounted it onto yellow, white and green cardstock. The white card base has been spattered with black ink. I pressed the Jet Black inkpad onto my craft sheet, then spritzed it with water and spattered it onto the card base. A little black and white baker’s twine is the only other thing I used here. Simple!

Here’s my co-marbler, with her Easter eggs:

Have a lovely, happy Wednesday!
