Watercolor Backgrounds with Nuvo Aqua Flow Markers from Tonic, how to do it—
Scribble Lemon Zest and Fresh Green onto your craft sheet, then press the textured cardstock into the color. Lift and either let the piece dry, or go back and re-press as desired. (I’ve created a second piece of cardstock for the mat behind the stamped focal.)
When the piece is dry, brayer it with embossing ink, then add gold embossing powder. Tap off the excess and heat-set. Ink the edges of the piece with the embossing inkpad, then dip into gold embossing powder and heat set.
Stamp and emboss the sentiment on smooth white card, then mat on green. Scribble Lemon Zest onto smooth white card. When dry, stamp and emboss the leaf image with gold. Color the leaves with Fresh Green. Trim, then mat on the smaller watercolor piece. Arrange the elements as shown, using foam tape. Add a ribbon bow.
That’s it—easy! To watch the step-by-step video, pop on over to the Watercolor Backgrounds with Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens from Tonic segment on You Tube. See you next Wednesday!
