{Project} Wednesday/Thursday: Waffle Flower Distress Bang Card

Happy Wednesday! (Okay, Thursday…I didn’t get back from the UK until last night.) Today I’m so excited to share a fun and colorful card featuring a new favorite, Waffle Flower!

Waffle Flower Distress Stain Bang Card

This card is so easy to put together, thanks to the fun dies and stamps from Waffle Flower. The burst of pink you see in the background is a technique I call the Distress Stain Bang—super simple to do, you just bang your Distress Stain bottle once on your cardstock and you’ll have a fabulous burst effect. The dauber top of the bottle helps it to stay somewhat focused on your cardstock.

(Here’s a quick—though older—video demonstrating the technique on another card.)

Distress Stain Bang Card with Waffle Flower

1. Shake the Picked Raspberry Distress Stain well, then bang it once on white cardstock. Let dry, then mat the piece on teal, then black cardstock. Glue it to the front of a square card base.

2. Die cut “congrats” from teal cardstock, then glue as shown. Stamp “on your graduation” below with black ink. Die cut the heart bubble from black and then from pink; replace the black heart in the center of the bubble with the pink heart. Glue to the card front. Glue the black heart to the right side.

3. Add gemstones in the corners of the card.

The Waffle Flower stamps and dies were a feature earlier this week on Create and Craft USA. Pop over to their website to see the complete set.

Enjoy!
