I can’t believe it’s finally here! The Mixed Media Made Easy DVD is now available at Paper Wishes!
Okay, I’ve just got to say: This DVD is absolutely loaded. You’ll learn 100 mixed media techniques, featuring everything from monoprinting to resists, inking, die-cutting, stenciling and more. I’ll share ideas for using products like Spectrum Noir alcohol ink pens and refills (you know I love these) plus Gelatos, Dylusions, stencils, Colorbox and Distress inks and of course tons of stamping. All the product is from Paper Wishes, so it’s easy to find if you don’t already have it on hand.
Each of the 100 projects feature a different technique, and each technique has a video so you can learn in bite-sized pieces. I tend to think that helps things from becoming too overwhelming.
I mean, it’s 8 1/2 hours of video. Is it possible I can talk that much? Apparently so.
Curious about the teaching style? If you watch my weekly Studio SN show on You Tube, you’ll see that the DVD has the same type of format. I show the project, then step you through the main technique and explain the composition.
Most projects are cards but there are also a couple of Sara’s Surfaces in there as well. (I couldn’t resist.)
You also get written instructions so you can refer back to specific measurements or steps if needed. The whole plan is to take the mystery out of mixed media and make the techniques easy to learn. And once you get the techniques down, you can mix and match them or adapt them as you wish!
Frankly, I think it’s a steal at $14.99. 🙂
You might have remembered me talking about this DVD—well, since I started writing and filming and designing it waaaaaaaay back in November. Then it was getting all 100 projects across the sea, from Poland to Oregon (with fingers crossed the box didn’t get dropped or lost!) and transferring all those video files to the IT guys at Hot Off The Press for editing and burning the DVDs.
