Hi friends! Today I have a video showing how to create a soft, subtle embossing effect with paint. You can check out the video to see the process and keep reading to see photos.
See that subtle shine on the background? That’s a magical combination of Moonlight paint from PaperArtsy and Hydrangea embossing powder from WOW! Embossing. Here’s a better look at the whole card:
Simply brayer Moonlight paint onto white card, then add Hydrangea embossing powder. The wet paint will act as an embossing ink of sorts. Heat set, then you can add some spatters of Gold paint as I’ve done.
The leaf stamp is from Eclectica ESN20. I’ve stamped it with a combination of Moonlight and Gold, then overstamped the sentiment with black ink. A bit of Moonlight spattering adds texture to the focal piece.
Supplies: PaperArtsy stamps and paints are available at your local stamp stores. Hydrangea embossing powder is in the Parc Floral trio from WOW! Embossing. It’s available here in the US, and here in the UK.
