Cracked Glass Embossing, how to do it—

  1. Brayer a piece of white cardstock with Moonlight. Let dry. Use a piece of Cut ‘n Dry to apply Eggplant paint to the butterfly stamp, then stamp on the brayered background.
  1. Make a watery wash of Spanish Mulberry, then paint in the butterfly. Let dry, then punch into an oval.
  1. Place the punched piece on scrap paper. Ink completely with embossing ink. Immediately sprinkle with embossing powder. Tap off the excess and heat-set. Repeat 2 more times. Place the piece in the freezer.
  1. Remove the piece after 3-5 minutes, then gently bend to create cracks. Here’s a close up—Cracked Glass close up
  1. Use foam tape to adhere to brown cardstock, then mat on lavender. Mount book paper top and bottom on light lavender, then glue across a piece of pink cardstock. Mount on light lavender, then wrap with gingham ribbon. Glue the mounted embellishment on top.
  1. Stamp “botanical” with Eggplant on a piece of book paper, trim and foam tape to the card front. Tie a bow in gingham ribbon and add as shown. Glue to white cardstock, then to a kraft card blank.
