Tuesday Tutorial: Reverse Stenciling with Altenew

Create easy watercolor backgrounds with Altenew stencils and inks!

Today I have a fun way to use your stencils to create easy watercolor backgrounds. This is from the Facebook Live I did last week with Altenew, and features their stencils and inks. If you want to see the video, just click here.

Place the Molded Lines stencil on a piece of scrap paper, then apply Fresh Lemon, Parrot and Aqualicious inks directly to the stencil. Mist lightly with water, then remove from the scrap paper and place onto a craft sheet or other surface. Press a piece of white cardstock onto the stencil and gently burnish. Lift straight up to reveal your print!

I also spattered the background with watery Dusk ink. The sentiment and flowers are from the Extra Special stamp set, and the die is from one of my favorites, the Framed Dies collection.

That’s it! If you’d like to see the complete video, please click here. See you next time!
