Last week I hosted a You Tube Live on the Altenew You Tube channel. We focused on resist techniques with a handy household staple: Vaseline!

Vaseline Resist card, what you need—
- Vaseline or petroleum jelly
- Altenew Dye Inks: Teal Cave, Parrot, Ocean Waves, Evening Gray
- Heart Flowers stamps, Mini Blossoms stamps
- Brayer
- Glossy white cardstock, white matte cardstock
- Twine
- Foam tape
- Gemstones

Vaseline Resist card, how to do it—
Streak stripes of Vaseline onto glossy white cardstock. Keep in mind, the areas where you apply the Vaseline will remain white.
Make a watery wash of Teal Cave and brayer onto the Vaseline cardstock. Blot with tissue, then wipe off the rest of the Vaseline. Trim and wrap with twine, then foam-tape to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment in gray and the flowers with Ocean Waves and Parrot. Trim and add to the background. Finish with gemstones and a twine bow.
