I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already…part of my brain still thinks it’s last Friday or something!
This week I was super excited to find out I’ll be going to Ranger U in May! This is three days of training with the Ranger product line, learning from Tim Holtz and the rest of the Ranger designers, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I’ve always loved Ranger products and use them so consistently in my personal art as well as articles and workshops, yet I often feel like I’m not accessing their full potential.
I realized this when designing for my Lazertran for Stamping & Collage workshop on Creative Workshops (hey—this launches April 23 if you’re interested!). I found myself asking, what would happen if I used Distress Ink here? Or alcohol ink? They’re such staples in my stash, and can be pushed onto so many new creative directions.
Then I got the news that I’ll have a new column in the British magazine Crafts Beautiful. Well, I was outlining column topics and techniques for the editor and realized how often I incorporate Ranger products into my projects. And yet, there’s so much that’s new, and so many more techniques to be discovered.
So this week I’m busy getting my flight and hotel booked, and making all the other arrangements that go along with travel—working ahead on deadlines and making plans with Keith so Anna’s covered. Whew! And even though it’s a lot of effort, I’m so looking forward to the time…and all the cool techniques I’ll be able to share with you!
