Next year, I’ll be contributing a regular column to Stamp & Scrap Arts magazine, an American publication. Yay! I approached Kelly, the editor, earlier this winter to see if she’d be interested in getting a mixed-media stamping column from me on a regular basis, and she said yes! Hooray!
It’s funny—magazines work on a long lead time in order to get things organized, photographed, edited and printed in time for the release date, so my first column (for the April issue) was due on December 7! The next issue is June, and that’s due at the end of January! Because we’ll be just getting back from our Christmas trip to the States then (and because I’m excited), I made up all the projects and instructions so I could turn in that column this week. I love being ahead of schedule.
(Speaking of being ahead of schedule…working with summer colors just before Christmas is a little challenging but also nice. We’ll see how I feel when I’m working on winter themes in summertime!)
April’s issue will feature techniques with punchinella (and a cool template from The Crafter’s Workshop) and the June issue is all about stamping on book paper. And July? Well, that’s not due until March, but I’m thinking of ways to incorporate hardware supplies—like metal tape and screws and stuff.
A few snaps from my in-the-midst creative session for the Perfectly Punchinella piece—
Is there a technique you’d like to see in this column? Let me know!
Hi! Just discovered ‘creative workshops’ and your blog! Looking forward to snooping around and learning from you.

Yay! So happy to be seeing you again on a regular basis!!! I have just gotten into the mixed media and I can’t wait to see what you come up with. I ALSO just bought that template and can’t wait to get my hands on it! I am always a huge fan of seeing modeling paste on punchinella — love the texture!!! Congrats!
