WOW! Embossing Powder + Resin for Unique and Easy Jewellery

Embossing powder and two-part resin epoxy is a dream combination—especially if you like to make your own embellishments or jewellery pieces. Today, I’m sharing some projects that use my new embossing powder Duo from WOW! Embossing: A Night on the Town, along with ArtResin epoxy.

The embellishment on this tag is made by mixing two-part resin epoxy, then adding in A Glass of Fizz embossing powder and pouring it into a silicone mould.

Let it sit to dry according to manufacturer’s instructions, then flex the mould and you’ll have a gorgeous embellishment for a tag, card, or mixed-media piece.

Bead moulds are also available—and with these, you can create your own custom beads, perfect for wearing or for mixed media. This bead is also made with A Glass of Fizz, then finished with silver grommets. (Grommets can be glued to nest in the bead holes.) Then simply string the bead on your chain, cord or ribbon of choice.

A simple metal bezel, like this one here, is easy to customize with powder-colored resin. Place the bezel on a flat work space covered with a craft mat or plastic liner, then fill with the resin and powder blend. Take care not to overflow the bezel. Let it dry, then add to your favorite jewellery chain or pendant. My bezel has a thick loop at the top, so all I had to do was connect it to my chain necklace.

Another bezel, but smaller and circle-shaped. This one is using Sparkling Sunset embossing powder mixed with resin; once dry, I used a jump ring to add it to gold chain for a quick little bracelet.

I hope these projects have inspired you to think of embossing powder beyond the paper surfaces we normally use them with!

The Duo is called A Night on the Town and it’s available now from WOW! Embossing. You can find this Duo at your local or online shops, or on the WOW website—depending on where you shop from. UK folks, click here. The US website is here.
