Hi friends! I told you last week about the box of handmade cards I made for an auction for the American Women’s Club of Hamburg. Here’s another one of the designs inside!
This card uses coordinating papers and embellishments from the Vintage Artistry 12″x12″ Collection Pack from 49 and Market.
To spotlight the rose die-cut, I spattered a white oval die-cut with white glue, then placed gold foil on top. When it dried, I pulled off the foil and got this pretty spattered metallic look, which coordinates with the Dazzle message at the bottom.
The auction proceeds combine with those of American Women’s Clubs around the world, and go to help the folks running safe houses for girls fleeing FGM, child marriage and gender-based violence. You can read more about FGM and what Rhobi Samwelly is doing to protect girls from this life-threatening and illegal practice here.
I know many of you also make cards for charity, and this kind of boxed set is a great way to give back to the community and help raise funds for those in need.
Enjoy!
